Played by the master director Takeshi Kitano himself, the aging Yakuza gangster Otomo gets caught up in the shadowy power struggles between hostile clans after his return from exile. The final chapter in the OUTRAGE trilogy works as a stand alone film in that it is a vicious variation of the Yakuza movies that made Kitano as famous as he is. With his proven poker face genius he combines jet-black humor and a melancholy solitude, misleading silence and stylized violence, both as director and actor.
