The Monster Squad is a group of kids whose reality mostly centers around monsters and the films in which they appear. Yet when the dark lord Count Dracula shows up in their sleepy little town to look for a mysterious amulet that could potentially destroy him and his monster friends, it is down to the Monster Squad to save the world. Fred Dekker’s cult film is a wonderfully mid-80s horror comedy in the vein of GREMLINS and FRIGHT NIGHT. By the way, the monsters were created by the SFX legend Stan Winston.
