Anna smells freedom: after high school her plan is to see the world, even though her father wants to send her straight to university. All thoughts concerning life planning take a back seat when the picturesque Scottish town she lives in is overrun by zombies on Christmas. Director John McPhail achieves true greatness with ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE – and not just because it is probably the first Christmas zombie musical comedy ever. The jokes are on point, the blood sprays and the song and dance numbers are so catchy that you can’t get them out of your head for days.
